Responsibilities
- Design and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end tests for backend infrastructure components and distributed systems.
- Validate installation, upgrade, migration, configuration, backup, recovery, and deployment workflows across single-server, clustered, distributed, and cloud environments.
- Investigate failures and system issues involving Windows, IIS, networking, databases, services, logs, diagnostics, and infrastructure dependencies.
- Collaborate with software engineering, DevOps, automation, and product teams to improve testing strategies, verify fixes, and support reliable releases.
- Participate in reliability initiatives, design reviews, and post-incident investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Information Technology, or vocational education in Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least two years of software QA experience, preferably with backend, infrastructure, enterprise, or server-side systems; candidates with vocational IT education require at least four years of relevant experience.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification.
- Experience with software testing methodologies and test design techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Windows, Windows Server, Windows Services, IIS, web services, and system or connectivity troubleshooting.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, ports, firewalls, and client-server communication.
- Experience with logs, Event Viewer, PowerShell, or network diagnostic tools.
- Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, or a similar language.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience includes Kafka, message brokers, event-driven architecture, databases, automated testing, monitoring tools, Wireshark, crash dump analysis, production incident investigation, DICOM, HL7, TLS/security protocols, or regulated healthcare software.
