Base Salary
$130k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support Java-based enterprise applications and related integrations.
- Troubleshoot production issues across applications, APIs, integrations, databases, and data pipelines while improving system stability.
- Evaluate, refactor, and modernize legacy applications for improved performance, maintainability, scalability, and technology alignment.
- Apply engineering practices for code quality, testing, release management, documentation, monitoring, source control, and continuous delivery.
- Translate business and technical requirements into maintainable software solutions and collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, architects, administrators, analysts, and developers.
- Provide technical guidance through code reviews, design discussions, troubleshooting, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java/Jakarta EE, object-oriented design, application architecture, debugging, and maintainable coding practices.
- Proficiency with JavaScript and SQL, including working knowledge of relational databases.
- Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, data pipelines, application security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with team-based software delivery, source control, testing, deployment practices, and continuous integration/continuous delivery tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and technical collaboration skills, including the ability to explain concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Scrum or similar methodologies.
- At least 5 years of experience in software development, application engineering, and/or systems integration with a primary focus on Java development.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms, Open Liberty or similar Java application servers, Microsoft Dynamics 365, finance/CRM/operations systems, and .NET.
- Ability to use AI-assisted development tools while maintaining software engineering discipline, code quality, and security standards.
