Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end, modular, and scalable digital banking solution architectures using Temenos TIM Methodology.
- Define secure integration patterns and data exchange using the IRIS API Framework.
- Use the Extensibility Framework to configure and extend cards and payments capabilities while preserving upgrade paths.
- Translate cards and payments requirements into architecture blueprints, roadmaps, and reusable design patterns.
- Review solution landscapes to identify simplification, consolidation, and technical-debt reduction opportunities.
- Guide engineering teams on performance, scalability, security, observability, and other nonfunctional requirements.
- Develop reference architectures for card issuing, acquiring, settlement, and payment processing.
- Perform impact assessments and architecture risk assessments covering privacy, transaction security, fraud controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Create architecture diagrams, integration specifications, configuration guidelines, and other solution documentation.
- Define architecture validation strategies with testing and quality teams for authorization, clearing, dispute handling, and other critical journeys.
- Design monitoring, alerting, and incident-handling approaches with operations and support teams.
- Present solution options in architecture review forums and ensure alignment with organizational technology standards.
Requirements
- 12–15 years of overall technology experience with significant exposure to complex enterprise-grade banking implementations.
- Hands-on experience applying Temenos TIM Methodology across requirements, design, implementation, and stabilization phases.
- Proven expertise with the IRIS API Framework, including secure API design, versioning, throttling, and external-partner integration.
- Strong proficiency with the Extensibility Framework for configuring product features, extending modules, and introducing custom business logic.
- Deep cards and payments knowledge spanning issuing, acquiring, switching, settlement, reconciliation, chargebacks, and regulatory reporting.
- Understanding of mobile and web banking channels and their interaction with core card and payment processing systems.
- Knowledge of financial-services security practices including tokenization, encryption, authentication flows, and sensitive cardholder data management.
- Experience collaborating with product management, engineering, compliance, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with microservices, event-driven patterns, continuous integration, and automated testing in enterprise environments.
- Ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to technical and nontechnical stakeholders and evaluate cost, time, risk, and quality tradeoffs.
- Awareness of payments trends including contactless adoption, real-time payments, and regulatory changes.
