Base Salary
$120k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical architecture for regional applications, critical business applications, and technical domains.
- Translate business strategy into actionable engineering solutions and technical roadmaps.
- Define current, transitional, and target-state architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
- Lead technology migrations, architectural shifts, technology evaluations, and recommendations.
- Partner with Solution Architecture, Engineering, Business stakeholders, regional stakeholders, and governing boards.
- Drive standards across cloud and hosting, security, data, integration, frameworks, DevOps, automation, productivity tools, and application lifecycle services.
- Maintain the technical architecture repository for technology standards, best practices, and toolsets.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise and General Insurance technical architecture standards, policies, and practices.
- Apply modern engineering standards, cloud-native architectures, and automation to improve performance, reliability, and speed to market.
Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in application engineering and technology management, preferably in large-scale global enterprises or financial services and insurance.
- Experience with modern engineering practices, cloud-native architecture, and complex scalable software systems.
- Proven track record leading large-scale technology migrations or architectural shifts.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical business partners and senior leaders.
- Experience refining business requirements into technical roadmaps and managing high-pressure delivery cycles.
- Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud services for secure, scalable application platforms.
- Working knowledge of Generative AI from application and security perspectives is preferred.
- Working knowledge of programming languages and application frameworks, with some development experience preferred.
- Experience with open-source code and frameworks, Angular or React, Java/J2EE, relational databases, NoSQL databases, and MongoDB.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS, CISSP, CCC, and SAFe for Architects are desirable but not mandatory.
