Base Salary
$170k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the modeling engine for transfer tax computation, waterfall and distribution modeling, and calculation consolidation.
- Design flexible data models for complex trusts, estates, ownership structures, and conditional provisions.
- Validate computational correctness with in-house attorneys, CPAs, and external state authorities.
- Expose deterministic calculations and hypothetical modeling capabilities to agentic workflows.
- Shape product requirements, communicate with customers and subject-matter experts, and ship production changes frequently.
Requirements
- Four or more years of software engineering experience at companies with strong engineering practices.
- Experience or interest in modeling complex real-world systems accurately rather than focusing primarily on infrastructure scaling.
- Strong rigor around correctness, edge cases, and verifiable logic.
- Product-minded approach and ability to understand why calculations matter to users.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in a distributed team.
- Ability or willingness to work with Go, Postgres, Temporal, and GraphQL, plus monitoring tools including Honeycomb, Braintrust, and PostHog.
