Responsibilities
- Develop and operate backend distributed services for Coupang’s NCA and TW Ads products.
- Design and implement multi-agent systems based on LLMs and multimodal models, including hosted agents, sandbox execution, layered context management, persistent storage, and function-calling orchestration.
- Deliver complex Agent and RAG systems from architectural design through production deployment.
- Build and maintain GenAI video creative, AIOps fault diagnosis, ranking-algorithm improvement, and AI-native SDLC automation systems.
- Apply model-serving, memory, long-context, planning, and tool-use techniques to production engineering problems.
- Design highly concurrent, highly available backend architectures and translate relevant research into working systems.
Requirements
- Strong theoretical and practical experience developing backend distributed services at scale.
- Proficiency in Java or Python and experience designing and launching large-scale distributed systems.
- Understanding of asynchronous processing, concurrency, idempotency, rate limiting, code quality, maintainability, and common design patterns.
- Knowledge and practical experience with LLM architecture and current techniques, including neural-network architectures, attention mechanisms, and Mixture-of-Experts.
- Understanding of LLM serving principles and technologies.
- Experience architecting and leading core development of LLM or multimodal-model multi-agent systems.
- End-to-end production delivery experience with complex Agent or RAG systems.
- Familiarity with memory, long context, planning, and tool-use techniques, with the ability to convert research into engineering implementations.
- Experience with at least one AI development or agent framework, such as LangChain, LangGraph, Deerflow, Claude Code, or Hermes.
- Strong learning ability, careful problem solving, independent execution, and an ability to achieve business results.
- A background in computer science, mathematics, physics, or electronics is preferred.
- Experience implementing self-harness approaches and ability to understand open-source framework source code are preferred.
