Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance cloud-based microservices using AWS and TypeScript.
- Build and maintain modular microservices that communicate through well-defined APIs.
- Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and work toward high test coverage.
- Use AI developer tools for context gathering, boilerplate generation, test generation, and code refactoring while validating generated code for security and correctness.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture and design sessions, Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver software solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing service-oriented applications using Java, Python, C#, TypeScript, or another modern language.
- Experience designing and building microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling.
- TypeScript is preferred, and experience with modern object-oriented programming languages is required.
- Experience integrating AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or Claude into the software development workflow.
- Experience implementing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores and industry-standard design and architectural patterns.
- Understanding of software security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and encryption.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English and work in an Agile environment using Scrum or Kanban.
- AWS serverless experience with technologies such as DynamoDB and SQS is preferred but not required.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, continuous-improvement, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
