Base Salary

$296k - $375k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Deploy directly into customer environments to observe workflows, identify friction, and build rapid prototypes.
  • Lead research-to-code initiatives applying networking and security expertise to real-world problems.
  • Use verified customer engagement and usage metrics to influence product roadmaps.
  • Architect and transition prototypes into secure, multi-tenant, scalable enterprise services.
  • Design systems with observability, failure handling, ergonomics, and complex authorization models.
  • Provide technical consultation and translate customer challenges into scalable software solutions.
  • Mentor engineers and drive technical decisions across cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
  • Promote a customer-first, high-velocity engineering culture while maintaining enterprise compliance standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 15+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree and 12+ years, or a PhD and 8+ years, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Experience building and operating scalable, highly distributed, multi-tenant systems with strict isolation and security boundaries.
  • Experience building external-facing developer platforms or infrastructure-focused products.
  • Experience with end-to-end system design, including observability, failure handling, ergonomics, and authorization models such as RBAC, ABAC, or policy-based enforcement.
  • Ability to decompose complex problems into actionable deliverables and exercise sound technical judgment.
  • Experience building shared infrastructure, abstractions, and paved roads that improve engineering productivity.
  • Proficiency with spec-driven and schema-driven development, code generation, strongly typed API contracts, and implementation traceability.
  • Understanding of SaaS and on-premise deployment architectures and operational constraints.
  • Ability to mentor team members and influence technical decisions across organizational boundaries.
