Responsibilities
- Implement software features and services using established design and coding patterns.
- Develop and enhance APIs for dealer and consumer applications.
- Build UI components using React or similar frontend frameworks.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and production support.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions.
- Support Toyota digital workflows including VDP, PreQual, and pricing requests.
- Develop skills in cloud platforms, distributed systems, and engineering tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience.
- Core development skills in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience building and enhancing APIs for enterprise applications.
- Basic AWS exposure, including containers, deployments, and logging.
- Frontend development experience with React or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of microservices and cloud-native development concepts.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise development practices.
- Ability or willingness to learn financial-services and automotive-platform domain concepts.
- Preferred: experience with dealer-centric or consumer-facing applications, event-driven architectures, messaging systems, CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace, distributed systems, resiliency, platform engineering, or GitHub Copilot.
