Responsibilities
- Implement features and services using established design and coding patterns.
- Develop and enhance RESTful APIs for dealer and consumer applications.
- Build and maintain UI components using React or similar frontend frameworks.
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code and participate in code reviews and testing.
- Support production systems and Toyota digital workflows including VDP, PreQual, and pricing requests.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on system design and architecture decisions.
- Develop understanding of data flows through services, APIs, and event-driven systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of software development experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Core development skills in Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience building and enhancing REST APIs for enterprise applications.
- Basic AWS exposure, including containers, deployments, and logging.
- Frontend development experience with React or similar frameworks.
- Understanding of microservices and cloud-native development concepts.
- Experience writing unit and integration tests.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise development practices.
- Preferred qualifications include dealer-centric or consumer-facing application experience, event-driven or messaging-system exposure, CloudWatch, Splunk, or Dynatrace familiarity, interest in distributed systems and platform engineering, and experience with GitHub Copilot.
