Base Salary
$119k - $198k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive user interfaces using React and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Create interactive visualizations and UI components for data-driven decision-making.
- Define APIs and data models that improve front-end responsiveness and reduce latency.
- Write modular, maintainable code and participate in peer, design, and code reviews.
- Collaborate with UX designers and product engineers to deliver user-centric features across devices.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and iterative development cycles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues across a variety of devices.
- Mentor junior front-end developers and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- At least five years of software development experience focused on front-end engineering and user-centric web applications.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, REST APIs, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design.
- Experience with front-end architecture, common design patterns, and software development best practices.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational database systems including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Experience with Git and Agile development practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and technical presentation skills.
- Preferred: master’s degree in a relevant field; experience with the Esri Calcite Design System, ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, ArcGIS, or equivalent mapping frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with front-end CI/CD tools including Webpack, ESLint, Snyk, and SonarQube.
