Base Salary
$88k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable streaming data-plane components such as gateways, ingestion and delivery paths, and partition-routing services.
- Own platform components and features end-to-end, including design, implementation, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and production support.
- Troubleshoot production and customer issues using logs, metrics, and tracing, and drive root-cause analysis and remediation.
- Optimize distributed systems for latency, throughput, scalability, resilience, and resource utilization.
- Implement API versioning, lifecycle, interoperability, testing, observability, and performance optimization strategies.
- Improve automation, reliability, system availability, and operational tooling while participating in code reviews and architecture alignment.
- Provide technical guidance on customer issues, mentor teammates, and collaborate across teams on product improvements.
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Experience or working knowledge of distributed systems, scalable cloud services, asynchronous or event-driven architectures, and network-facing services.
- Ability to debug moderately complex software and production issues using logs, metrics, tracing, and observability data.
- Ability to design and implement software features, APIs, resilience patterns, performance optimizations, and compatibility-safe fixes.
- Knowledge of software testing, secure coding, quality practices, monitoring, maintenance, and production operations.
- Ability to independently manage work, collaborate across teams, communicate with stakeholders, and provide technical guidance.
