Base Salary
$181k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop Aeva’s 4D state estimation and calibration stack for production deployment.
- Prototype, implement, and rapidly iterate on novel algorithms.
- Optimize code for performance and scalability.
- Maintain coding standards and best practices.
- Own assigned tasks through timely completion, documentation, and testing.
Requirements
- Master’s or PhD in robotics, computer science, electrical engineering, or a similar relevant field.
- At least 5 years of C++ development experience in the Linux environment.
- At least 2 years of experience with online or offline extrinsic calibration methods.
- Experience with Kalman filtering, Bayesian methods, and sensor fusion using LiDAR, IMU, or GNSS.
- Strong foundations in linear algebra and 3D geometry.
- Demonstrated ability to create and deploy real-time state estimation or SLAM systems.
- Experience with 3D data and representations such as point clouds and meshes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Preferred: knowledge of RADAR or LiDAR operating principles.
- Preferred: experience with robotics or autonomous-vehicle software frameworks such as ROS or ROS2.
- Preferred: experience with modern build systems such as Bazel or similar.
