Responsibilities
- Develop modular, maintainable, and high-performance infotainment applications using Android Automotive OS.
- Develop modules that communicate with VHAL and other HALs using AIDL and HIDL.
- Integrate applications with Android system services and vendor-specific frameworks.
- Debug and optimize issues across application, framework, and HAL layers.
- Collaborate with platform, hardware, and QA teams on integration and validation.
- Mentor junior developers and promote architecture, code quality, and testing best practices.
- Create and present architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation documentation.
- Lead Android infotainment application development and integration across automotive platforms.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience is explicitly required, with the detailed role description requesting approximately 5-6 or 6 years in Android development and automotive digital cockpit solutions.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering in Computer Science, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering is required.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, and C++.
- Deep understanding of Android SDK, Android NDK, Jetpack libraries, and MVVM architecture.
- Experience with Android Activities, Services, Broadcast Receivers, and Content Providers.
- Hands-on experience with AIDL, HIDL, VHAL, and HAL-to-application communication.
- Familiarity with Android Automotive OS car services and infotainment integration.
- Experience with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and CAN at the application level.
- Exposure to media, phone, navigation, and cloud communication applications.
- Experience with partitioning concepts and cross-partition communication.
- Proficiency in unit testing, instrumentation testing, and mocking frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Git, debugging tools, and CI/CD workflows.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, ASPICE, ISO/SAE 21434, TARA, and secure communication practices.
