Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions for organizational products and systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot Android framework and Kernel software for smartphone and tablet products.
- Resolve integration, testing, and performance optimization issues using Android debugging tools.
- Collaborate on software and hardware integrations and establish requirements for less complex design projects.
- Analyze processes and systems, recommend improvements, and communicate results to stakeholders.
- Create and maintain code, design, test, and project documentation.
- Review changes and upgrades to existing designs or test processes while applying appropriate problem-solving methods.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in software development or a related field, with 2–4 years of Android development experience requested.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong skills in Kotlin or Java, C, C++, Android, Android architecture and internals, and debugging tools.
- Experience resolving and debugging integration, testing, and performance optimization issues in the Android framework and Kernel.
- Familiarity with programming languages, operating systems, algorithms, and software development frameworks.
- Strong quantitative, analytical, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and teamwork skills.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field is acceptable; Qualcomm mobile chipset experience is an advantage.
