Responsibilities
- Design and build modular native iOS features integrated with eBay self-service platforms and backend services.
- Own iOS features through technical design, implementation, testing, release, and post-launch support.
- Write clean, maintainable, crash-free, well-tested production code and refactor existing code for quality, performance, and testability.
- Implement unit, integration, UI, and acceptance testing and automate testing for shipped features.
- Participate in design discussions, evaluate implementation tradeoffs, provide estimates, and maintain technical documentation.
- Support debugging of Xcode issues, OS upgrades, SDK changes, new iOS capabilities, CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes.
- Collaborate with backend and platform engineers on APIs, service integrations, backend services, and broader full-stack initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience designing, building, refactoring, and releasing native iOS applications in production.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and/or Objective-C and the ability to independently deliver iOS features.
- Experience with Xcode, modern iOS APIs, Swift Concurrency, and SwiftUI and/or UIKit.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance optimization, debugging, reliability, and automated testing.
- Experience with code reviews, pairing, and engineering practices that improve code quality and team resiliency.
- Working knowledge of backend development, APIs, and service integrations.
- Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST, and/or GraphQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across mobile, platform, and product teams.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as coding assistants, test-generation tools, and code-review aids.
