Responsibilities
- Partner with customer engineering and OCI engineering leadership to ensure customer success.
- Own complex infrastructure problems, identify solutions, and document potential customer-impacting issues.
- Design cloud resources, distributed computing systems, and data storage solutions for customer workflows with engineering teams.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure performance, scalability, and reliability issues and implement mitigation solutions.
- Lead initiatives across engineering, operations, and leadership with minimal supervision.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment.
- At least 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Development experience in Java, C++, C#, and scripting languages.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, Terraform, and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration of distributed systems.
- Strong Linux skills, including system administration, package management, shell scripting, and performance optimization across Oracle Linux/RHEL/CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian.
- Experience collaborating with cloud platform teams covering compute, networking, storage, and identity.
- Understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, presentation, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience leading large-scale projects end-to-end and providing direction and mentoring to others.
