Responsibilities
- Build and operate scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and enhance Java backend services for financial integrations.
- Design data models for accounting and financial reporting.
- Improve integrations with external financial systems.
- Collaborate with Finance, Product, and Engineering teams on technical solutions.
- Enhance the scalability and resilience of financial data pipelines.
- Contribute to engineering best practices through automated testing and code reviews.
- Drive technical decisions for long-term maintainability of the platform.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building backend systems and data-intensive applications.
- Proficiency in Scala or Java and distributed data processing frameworks like Scio or Apache Beam.
- Experience designing reliable backend services and scalable data pipelines.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms such as Flyte or Airflow.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals including continuous delivery and automated testing.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience in financial or regulated data domains is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is a plus.
