Backend Engineer, Operations Technology
HelloFreshResponsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services focused on distributed architecture and microservices
- Lead the migration of critical services from monolithic architecture to a microservices framework
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on software development, testing, and deployment practices
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize pricing services for efficiency and reliability
- Track industry trends and apply relevant technologies to improve the team’s technology stack and processes
- Contribute to architectural discussions and provide technical guidance on solution design
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering with a strong focus on backend development and system architecture
- Proficiency in backend technologies and programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Go
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience migrating applications from monolithic architectures to microservices
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and managing services at scale
- Experience with Agile development practices
- Strong mentorship, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
