Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance complex software applications.
- Develop front-end and back-end code, integrate software components, and troubleshoot or upgrade existing systems.
- Create test plans, test data, automated testing suites, verification plans, and quality assurance procedures.
- Gather requirements and prepare business and system requirements documentation.
- Participate in code reviews, deployment processes, change controls, and continuous improvement activities.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers.
- Document procedures, mentor junior engineers, promote reuse, and apply software development best practices.
- Complete mandatory training and use learning tools such as Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 2–6 years of software development experience.
- Thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle.
- Experience developing both front-end and back-end applications.
- Knowledge of C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of application frameworks, containerization, cross-platform interoperability, and development toolkits.
- Experience resolving hardware, software, and communications malfunctions and understanding their business impact.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred.
