Base Salary

$67k - $102k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, develop, debug, test, deploy, and maintain software systems and applications.
  • Code, simulate, integrate, and validate software for enhancements and new products.
  • Write modular, reusable, testable, and scalable code along with unit tests.
  • Participate in software design reviews and derive algorithm designs from detailed requirements.
  • Support the full software development life cycle and follow the company software development process.
  • Use JIRA to maintain work logs and task status.
  • Collaborate with software developers, other engineering disciplines, and multiple program teams.
  • Document and test software and contribute to system design with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Deliver work according to estimated completion dates, project schedules, and budgets.
  • Occasionally travel locally and work in office and manufacturing environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 0–2 years of relevant Windows or Linux application software development experience.
  • Object-oriented design experience and proficiency in one or more of C#/.NET, Java, C++, or Web UI.
  • Familiarity with source code configuration management tools such as SVN and Git.
  • Experience writing unit tests, using an IDE, and applying basic debugging techniques.
  • Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, databases, and operating systems, with demonstrated mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Preferred qualifications include Qt, test-driven development, Android, iOS, React/Redux web development, and basic networking knowledge.
  • Must be willing to travel locally occasionally and work on government contracts.
  • Must qualify as a U.S. person under ITAR/EAR rules or be eligible for an export license; some positions require current U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance.
