Base Salary
$100k - $149k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend microservices for the Compute Sentra SaaS platform.
- Implement REST APIs, event listeners, data models, and event-driven services under senior-engineer guidance.
- Write clean, well-tested code and participate in code reviews.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, and debugging.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and monitor services running in the cloud environment.
- Collaborate with product, QA, and engineering teams to deliver features end to end.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Foundational experience with an object-oriented language such as Java, Kotlin, C#, or a similar language through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL fundamentals.
- Understanding of REST API design and HTTP fundamentals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and fluent English.
- Must be able to work on-site in San Diego, California.
- Preferred qualifications include exposure to Spring, Spring Boot, Flask, FastAPI, .NET, Git, AWS, GCP, Azure, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred exposure includes distributed systems, messaging, event-driven design, AI coding assistants such as Claude or Codex, IoT, device management, and security.
