Base Salary
$77k - $99k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, extend, and maintain web applications and systems.
- Develop user interfaces and components supporting operational and customer readiness.
- Write automated unit tests and test system and platform changes before deployment.
- Contribute to incident remediation, peer code reviews, requirements gathering, and analysis.
- Contribute to documentation, technical specifications, and application and data requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning, team meetings, and communication with technical colleagues.
- Develop understanding of Cboe’s markets and technology while supporting applications operating 24x7.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent knowledge.
- 0–2 years of experience developing websites or web applications; internship, academic, or personal project experience is welcomed.
- Exposure to MVC web frameworks, preferably Django, through coursework or projects.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, Python or another programming language with a strong desire to learn Python.
- Familiarity with modern web standards including HTML5 and CSS3.
- Familiarity with Linux or UNIX-like systems.
- Basic knowledge of UX, Cboe Design Systems, SQL, and relational databases.
- Assertiveness, attention to detail, effective communication, time management, and ability to work in a deadline-driven environment.
- Experience with Apache, PostgreSQL, ReactJS, Python unit testing, or full-stack web testing is a plus.
