Responsibilities
- Define and own the security roadmap for core GNSS receivers.
- Design and implement secure workflows, security frameworks, and networking protocols for embedded receivers.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for cybersecurity issues, including identifying, documenting, and resolving vulnerabilities.
- Specify software architectures that can be deployed across multiple operating systems.
- Translate security requirements into high-performance, user-centric product features with Product Marketing and other Trimble divisions.
- Collaborate with the Trimble Cloud team and international R&D hubs on secure product ecosystem communication.
Requirements
- Demonstrated expertise designing secure workflows and implementing defensive security measures in embedded environments.
- Practical experience with hardware security primitives, TPMs, secure boot, firmware signing, and dm-verity.
- Deep understanding of networking and communication protocols.
- Significant experience with C/C++ and Real-Time Operating Systems, including mutexes, semaphores, and task priorities.
- Solid knowledge of Embedded Linux and Linux distributions.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with GNSS or high-precision positioning technology is a bonus.
- Knowledge of cloud-to-device secure integration, legacy-system transitions, regulatory and industry compliance frameworks, software supply-chain security, SBOM, SCA, and low-level hardware resource optimization is advantageous.
