Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies for trading and analytics platforms.
  • Lead and mentor QA engineers while supporting their technical and career development.
  • Design test automation frameworks focused on performance, reliability, and accuracy.
  • Develop performance test packs for latency analysis and capacity planning.
  • Collaborate with trading desks, users, and development teams to understand business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and tools.
  • Participate in UAT processes with users and stakeholders for front-to-back initiatives.
  • Analyze incidents proactively and implement preventive measures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 10–12 years of software QA experience strictly within financial services.
  • Expert knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment.
  • Proficiency in Python or Java.
  • Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins/GitLab CI.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML/GenAI-backed testing practices.
  • Experience testing APIs and data pipelines.
  • Understanding of global financial markets, trading systems, investment banking, and equity trading markets.
  • Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as MiFID II and Reg NMS is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, strategic-thinking, and risk-awareness skills.
