Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA strategies for trading and analytics platforms.
- Lead and mentor QA engineers while supporting their technical and career development.
- Design test automation frameworks focused on performance, reliability, and accuracy.
- Develop performance test packs for latency analysis and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with trading desks, users, and development teams to understand business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing methodologies and tools.
- Participate in UAT processes with users and stakeholders for front-to-back initiatives.
- Analyze incidents proactively and implement preventive measures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 10–12 years of software QA experience strictly within financial services.
- Expert knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration/deployment.
- Proficiency in Python or Java.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab and Jenkins/GitLab CI.
- Hands-on experience with AI/ML/GenAI-backed testing practices.
- Experience testing APIs and data pipelines.
- Understanding of global financial markets, trading systems, investment banking, and equity trading markets.
- Hands-on experience with test management tools such as JIRA or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as MiFID II and Reg NMS is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, strategic-thinking, and risk-awareness skills.
