Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and delivery initiatives across authentication, authorization, account lifecycles, and partner relationships.
- Define multi-service technical direction, API contracts, data models, migration paths, and rollout strategies.
- Translate product, security, and business requirements into designs while coordinating cross-functional dependencies.
- Build scalable backend services and improve testing, observability, deployment safety, and operational reliability.
- Mentor engineers across teams and raise technical design and operating standards.
- Develop systems for centralized authentication, token validation, fine-grained access control, account identity, deduplication, matching, transfers, legacy decoupling, and event-driven APIs.
Requirements
- Proven staff-level track record guiding cross-team architecture and resolving high-impact technical trade-offs.
- Expertise in API design, distributed systems, data modeling, and production operations.
- Experience solving high-stakes problems where security, correctness, and performance are critical.
- Ability to write clear design documentation, align non-technical stakeholders, and mentor senior engineers.
- Ability to integrate AI tools into engineering workflows and critically evaluate their output in security-sensitive systems.
- Bonus experience with OAuth/OIDC, JWTs, RBAC, ReBAC, OpenFGA, Go, Python, Kafka, AWS, modern CI/CD stacks, security-sensitive or regulated environments, and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
