Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate backend services for authentication, authorization, and account management.
- Model multi-tenant organizations, teams, memberships, and roles while maintaining data correctness as the product evolves.
- Design and evolve public and internal APIs with versioning and backward compatibility.
- Integrate enterprise identity using SAML, OIDC, and SCIM provisioning.
- Build Kafka-based event-driven integrations, including schema design and compatibility.
- Maintain fast, highly available services across multiple regions.
- Own production operations for services, including metrics, tracing, alerting, and on-call support.
Requirements
- Expert Python 3.12+ experience and intermediate Go 1.23+ experience.
- Advanced experience with FastAPI, Django, and Django REST Framework.
- Intermediate MongoDB and MySQL experience, including modeling, indexing, migrations, transactions, and query-cost analysis.
- Familiarity with Redis and LDAP or directory services.
- Experience with Kafka, REST, and OpenAPI, including messaging reliability and API contract concepts.
- Advanced experience with multi-tenancy modeling, JWT-based authentication, OIDC, SAML, session management, and role- or attribute-based access control.
- Familiarity with SCIM provisioning.
- Experience with Docker, advanced Kubernetes, Helm, and CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI or an equivalent.
- Advanced experience with OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing, Prometheus, PromQL, Grafana, and large-scale log querying.
