Responsibilities
- Design and architect enterprise-scale backend software solutions for on-premises and cloud environments.
- Lead development of complex Java applications using Spring Boot and related technologies.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Drive technical decisions and participate in architecture workshops, design reviews, and software engineering reviews.
- Prototype and evaluate new technologies and establish software engineering best practices.
- Support engineering managers with estimation, planning, and product backlog grooming.
- Coach and mentor software engineers through technical leadership and daily guidance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across the application stack.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in backend software design and development.
- At least 8 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency designing and implementing secure, clean Java code while maintaining engineering best practices.
- Extensive experience designing and implementing optimized RESTful APIs.
- Experience with containerization using Docker and/or Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Advanced knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly Azure DevOps.
- Expert knowledge of agile software engineering practices.
- Demonstrated technical leadership in architecture decisions, code reviews, and mentoring.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with Angular, JavaScript, Azure cloud-native application development, microservices architecture, domain-driven design, software testing methodologies, and Java performance tuning.
- Preferred ability to collaborate with enterprise and solution architects on high-level and low-level design.
