Responsibilities
- Build software services and infrastructure experiences for internal and external Stripe teams.
- Participate in roadmap planning and prioritization.
- Deliver value collaboratively with customers and stakeholders across Stripe.
- Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack.
- Design, build, test, and ship software across varying technologies and systems.
Requirements
- 7+ years of industry software engineering experience, excluding internships and co-ops.
- Ability to write well-factored algorithms and use commonly used data structures and algorithms.
- Hands-on experience contributing to or building large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong coding skills in any programming language; the interview process is language agnostic.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work across team workstreams and support peers.
- Ability to work with substantial autonomy and responsibility in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Interest in working as a generalist across varying technologies and stacks.
- Preferred: experience optimizing the end-to-end performance of distributed systems.
- Preferred: focus on the needs of internal and external users.
- Preferred: commitment to a high bar for production quality.
