Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy, and operate AWS infrastructure across compute, messaging, storage, networking, and observability.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments from commit to production.
- Manage production PostgreSQL configuration, performance tuning, migrations, backups, and restores.
- Shape architecture and technical direction with stakeholders and product teams.
- Investigate distributed-systems issues and deliver reliable solutions.
- Evaluate and incorporate AI-assisted development tools into build and deployment workflows where useful.
Requirements
- 5 to 10+ years of relevant experience, including hands-on ownership of production infrastructure.
- Deep AWS expertise and strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or a similar tool.
- Strong understanding of distributed-systems concepts including ordering, idempotency, retries, at-least-once delivery, and partial-failure recovery.
- Production PostgreSQL experience with connection pooling, migrations, performance optimization, and backup and restore.
- Ability to read and understand TypeScript and Node.js codebases, with familiarity with NestJS.
- Experience operating high-traffic, highly available systems and independently debugging complex issues.
- Comfort using AI coding tools while maintaining strong technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
- Collaborative communication style and interest in the product and its users.
