Responsibilities
- Build the software underpinning the Confluent Cloud storage engine.
- Design, develop, and operationalize high-performance, scalable, reliable, and resilient systems.
- Independently drive complex software projects through production delivery.
- Identify root causes and solve difficult technical problems beyond treating symptoms.
- Troubleshoot and improve a complex technical stack spanning all three major clouds.
- Make technical decisions that benefit customers, the team, and the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant cloud infrastructure or cloud networking experience.
- Strong fundamentals in distributed-systems design and development.
- Experience building and operating large-scale systems in the cloud.
- Understanding of systems operations, including disks, networks, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in Java, Scala, C, C++, Go, or another statically typed language.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
