Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain Telia Play applications for Android devices, especially Android TV.
- Design and optimize applications for performance, scalability, automation, and smooth release flows.
- Implement modern architectural patterns and coding standards with designers and backend developers.
- Build Android experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, GraphQL, and Telia’s design system.
- Drive automation, high test coverage, code quality, and reliable delivery.
- Create engaging user experiences for streaming content, linear channels, and sports experiences.
- Support TV-specific capabilities such as remote controls, voice interaction, and accessibility where applicable.
Requirements
- Strong experience building scalable, high-quality applications for Android TV platforms.
- Solid proficiency in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, including advanced architectural patterns and performance optimization.
- Experience with automation and smooth software release processes.
- Experience with widely used consumer applications and GraphQL is a plus.
- Experience with adaptive streaming protocols such as DASH and HLS is a plus.
- Proficiency managing Git workflows and maintaining high test coverage.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Experience with TV-specific hardware features, voice interaction, or TalkBack is a bonus.
