Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain uploaders and networking equipment at garage facilities.
- Manage software release delivery to autonomous tractors and on-premises devices across active deployment sites.
- Build and maintain C++ and Python on-premises data-processing applications for real-time operational data.
- Manage ingestion and upload flows for vehicle telemetry and dashcam images from edge systems to cloud infrastructure.
- Maintain and improve the operator-facing UI layer supporting garage operations.
- Monitor server health, network performance, and on-premises data-pipeline reliability.
- Develop Python and Bash automation for on-premises operations, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with the cloud infrastructure team on reliable data handoff between on-premises and cloud systems.
- Adapt infrastructure and operational priorities across active vehicle deployment environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience managing on-premises infrastructure, bare-metal systems, and physical networking environments.
- Proficiency in C++ for data-processing applications, including the standard library, basic multithreading, socket implementation, and WebSocket implementation.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Bash for automation, tooling, and operational scripting.
- Hands-on experience physically configuring servers, computers, and network hardware.
- Experience managing software deployment pipelines to physical devices or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with data-ingestion pipelines and data flows from edge devices to centralized infrastructure.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting operational priorities.
- Preferred experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, or operationally deployed technology environments.
- Preferred background in embedded systems or edge computing with C++ data-processing applications.
- Preferred experience supporting operator-facing tools or lightweight UI components for operational systems.
- Preferred familiarity with WebSocket and socket-based communication for real-time data applications.
- Preferred knowledge of monitoring and alerting for on-premises systems and network infrastructure.
- Preferred ROS/ROS2 familiarity or experience with robotic software deployment pipelines.
