Responsibilities
- Build and operate AI-enabled cloud engineering capabilities across account vending, landing zones, CaaS, FinOps, developer onboarding, and application transformation.
- Develop production agents, reusable agent skills, MCP servers, adapters, APIs, automation services, and supporting integrations.
- Automate cloud account and environment setup, access workflows, guardrail validation, deployment guidance, troubleshooting, and developer onboarding.
- Enhance Kubernetes-based CaaS with self-service deployment, policy compliance, observability, troubleshooting, and guided remediation.
- Create FinOps tooling for cost allocation, tagging, anomaly detection, rightsizing, forecasting, commitment utilization, and waste reduction.
- Build migration and modernization accelerators for discovery, dependency analysis, containerization, readiness assessment, and implementation artifacts.
- Integrate approved AI models and tooling while implementing identity, data protection, audit, evaluation, lifecycle, and responsible AI controls.
- Measure product and operational outcomes, support incidents, improve reliability and adoption, and gather cloud-customer feedback.
- Provide technical leadership through reference implementations, code reviews, pairing, mentoring, architecture strategy, enterprise blueprints, and consulting.
- Maintain enterprise architecture standards, guidelines, principles, frameworks, reference models, and migration roadmaps.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and at least 8 years of experience in architecture/design in relevant technology disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Recent hands-on experience building and operating production cloud platforms and software.
- Ability to author and review application code, infrastructure as code, APIs, automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tooling.
- Deep experience with at least one major public cloud provider and cloud platform patterns including provisioning, landing zones, identity and access management, networking, policy, logging, and monitoring.
- Strong experience with Kubernetes and container platform capabilities, including workload onboarding, deployment automation, security controls, observability, reliability, and lifecycle management.
- Strong software engineering experience with Python, Go, TypeScript, or Java, including APIs, event-driven integrations, SDKs, automation services, and reusable platform components.
- Hands-on experience building production generative AI or agent solutions involving tool calling, orchestration, retrieval, state management, structured outputs, evaluation, observability, and guardrails.
- Experience building MCP servers, clients, or comparable agent-to-tool integrations with authentication, authorization, schema management, error handling, policy enforcement, and audit logging.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation, secure CI/CD and DevSecOps practices, secrets management, least-privilege access, and production support.
- Working knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost management, plus application migration, modernization, containerization, or platform onboarding experience.
- Experience integrating agents into developer portals, IDEs, command-line tools, chat interfaces, or workflow automation platforms.
- Experience implementing responsible AI controls, AI security testing, agent evaluation, and human approval patterns in production.
- Experience in regulated environments, preferably healthcare, and the ability to collaborate across matrixed enterprise teams.
