Base Salary
$100k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in a primarily coding-focused role.
- Design, estimate, and implement new features.
- Expand, maintain, and scale existing applications and services.
- Ensure production code meets high quality standards.
- Investigate and resolve production issues.
- Collaborate with developers, other teams, and functional areas on software delivery and enterprise architecture.
- Perform code reviews and participate in software design discussions.
- Participate in sprint planning and project management meetings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of object-oriented programming experience in Ruby, PHP, or Java.
- 2+ years of experience with front-end technologies including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience writing complex SQL queries and designing database schemas.
- Experience with MVC frameworks such as Rails, Laravel, or Django and with unit testing.
- Experience with Memcache, Redis, ActiveMQ, and Solr.
- Experience working collaboratively with tools such as JIRA and Gi.
- Command-line UNIX/Linux terminal proficiency.
- Experience consuming and creating web services.
- Stable work history and effective collaboration skills.
- BS/MS from a four-year college.
- Preferred experience includes agentic AI development tools, Scrum or Kanban, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, multi-location engineering collaboration, systems integration, distributed systems, Kafka, RabbitMQ, service-oriented architecture, load testing, page-load optimization, responsive design, and big data.
