Base Salary
$140k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop core payment surfaces and backend systems for Substack.
- Own work from product concept and proposal through implementation, experimentation, and measurement.
- Build and ship web applications and payment features such as payout systems, subscription-flow experiments, and gift subscriptions.
- Integrate with payment processors and manage systems supporting subscription revenue flows.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience, including building and shipping web applications.
- Experience with TypeScript, Node/Express, React, Postgres, and payment processors such as Stripe is helpful but not required.
- Ability to work independently and autonomously with strong product sense and intuition.
- Passion for building a better business model for the internet.
