Responsibilities
- Build and ship major features and product lines end-to-end from specification through measurement.
- Design and implement APIs, data models, services, and UI for the product.
- Iterate quickly on features using frequent feedback from real users.
- Work with the founders on greenfield architecture and technology choices.
- Integrate third-party systems and develop reliable AI pipelines for tax and accounting workflows.
- Optionally hire and mentor junior engineers as the company grows.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience building and operating web applications end-to-end.
- Strong TypeScript and Node.js fundamentals, with experience in Next.js, FastAPI, or comparable server frameworks and React.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Backend-oriented experience with APIs, data modeling, integrations, and ownership of features through the UI; balanced full-stack profiles are also welcome.
- Experience deploying applications using containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker.
- Experience integrating AI deeply into daily coding work.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and an agile startup environment.
- Very good written and verbal English communication skills at minimum C1 level; German is a plus.
- Valid work permit to work in Germany.
