Base Salary
$184k - $357k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and develop metrics for debugging, testing, and evaluating autonomous vehicle software.
- Build data-driven evaluation products using on-road driving analysis, large-scale simulation, models, metrics, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with machine learning, infrastructure, and robotics engineers on novel evaluation solutions.
- Develop and drive software testing strategies with the Planning & Control team.
Requirements
- MS, PhD, or equivalent experience in data science, engineering, physics, computer science, or a similar field.
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, and/or experiment design roles.
- High proficiency in Python and associated libraries including Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib.
- Familiarity with Git and Linux, including Ubuntu or another Unix-based system.
- Ability to learn new technical domains quickly and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience includes on-board planning algorithms, autonomous vehicle robotics metrics, precision and recall evaluation, C++, large monorepos, Bazel, vehicle simulation, path planning, vehicle control, Drive-by-Wire systems, and self-driving technologies.
