Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AI-assisted automated test frameworks and test cases for web, mobile, and API applications.
- Use AI tools to generate tests, analyze failures, identify flaky tests and regressions, and surface likely root causes.
- Develop automated regression, performance, smoke, visual, API, and contract tests using Playwright and similar frameworks.
- Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines and support failure triage and deployment gating.
- Improve test reliability, speed, coverage, reusability, and signal quality by repairing or retiring noisy tests.
- Partner with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps to align test coverage with product behavior and user expectations.
- Research and evaluate new testing frameworks, AI/ML testing methods, and automation tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Three to five years of experience for the QA Engineer II role.
- Experience with AI-powered QA tools or techniques, including test generation, failure triage, or visual testing.
- Experience writing automated tests with Playwright or similar frameworks.
- Solid JavaScript programming and debugging skills.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests support deployment workflows.
- Experience or working knowledge of page-object or component-based frameworks, data-driven testing, parallel execution, environment abstraction, mobile testing, performance testing, and cloud environments.
- Ability to critically review AI-generated test code and evaluate whether AI tools improve coverage, speed, or test signal quality.
