Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build distributed systems and tools that support migration from HEX and Honeycomb to AWS-native solutions.
  • Develop infrastructure Cloud Development Kit constructs for the Amazon Stores compute platform.
  • Build automation that improves operations, maintenance, and developer productivity.
  • Implement solutions to detect and prevent outages and improve reliability.
  • Provide operational support, troubleshoot complex distributed systems issues, and reduce compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with partners on requirements, technical designs, and customer migrations.
  • Contribute to technical vision and architecture while balancing migration and long-term strategic goals.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and maintain operational health metrics.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of Object-Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
