Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups and IT leadership on application development, technical support, requirements, implementation challenges, and business issues.
- Design, develop, test, automate, integrate, maintain, and document software applications across frontend and backend systems.
- Write well-designed, testable, efficient code and participate in code reviews.
- Evaluate compliance with technology standards and apply security and privacy principles.
- Define implementation and integration strategies for new technologies and advise on emerging technologies and associated services.
- Mentor junior-level engineers and contribute to area objectives, technology innovation, and corporate initiatives.
- Complete required training and use Pluralsight and other learning tools for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 10-14 years of software development experience.
- Thorough frontend and backend development knowledge, including C#, Java, HTML, Node.js, CSS, JSON, Angular, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency with application frameworks and containerization, plus intermediate knowledge of security principles, relational databases, and architecture design.
- Prior lead experience selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies and prior consulting experience with structured methodologies.
- Broad experience with multiplatform development tools and toolkits, as well as strong communication, organization, teamwork, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
