Responsibilities
- Write Linux user-space and kernel code for DMA and memory-management functions involving Intel and AMD IOMMU controllers.
- Develop software at the hardware/software boundary for ASICs, FPGAs, media adapters, PCIe bridges, and networking chips.
- Implement Layer 2 and Layer 3 communications protocols, including LLDP, 802.1X, BFD, BGP, OSPF, and ISIS.
- Update hardware forwarding state and reconcile Linux kernel routing models with switch forwarding state.
- Implement policy languages for filtering and manipulating routing data exchanged with peers.
- Access ASIC registers over SPI, SMBus, PCIe, and I2C to implement timers and collect packet-flow and congestion statistics.
- Develop Go and Python configuration-management services supporting YANG, OpenConfig, NETCONF, RESTCONF, gRPC, SSH, and SSL.
- Develop fault-tolerant, concurrent routing-protocol agents in C/C++ within a Fedora Linux embedded environment.
- Build and maintain a Python-based automated test harness for hundreds of devices under test.
Requirements
- Experience or knowledge in one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, Go, React.js, Redux.js, Node.js, networking, Linux, embedded systems, algorithms, programming, or software development.
- Interest in learning product development for software-defined networking.
