Base Salary
$140k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of backend systems for mission planning and satellite operations.
- Develop and validate algorithms for optimization, orbit propagation, and operational automation.
- Build APIs and distributed services that integrate with cloud infrastructure.
- Improve system scalability, reliability, and performance across workflows.
- Use automation and AI-assisted practices to enhance developer productivity.
- Collaborate with aerospace engineers and product managers to deliver robust solutions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with Java.
- Deep experience in building scalable backend or distributed systems.
- Experience developing software for complex mathematical or aerospace systems.
- Applied experience in developing algorithms for mission planning and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and performance optimization.
- Experience with API services, distributed systems, and relational databases.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and containerized applications.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and modern git-based workflows.
- Enthusiasm for using AI-assisted engineering tools.
