Base Salary
$267k - $297k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define long-term architecture and technical direction for cyber defense capabilities, including CSPM, vulnerability management, and threat response.
- Design and implement scalable security frameworks across multi-cloud and hybrid environments using SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and IAM.
- Lead automation and AI/ML initiatives that improve threat defense and incident response workflows.
- Direct high-impact incident investigation, containment, recovery, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish security, privacy, testing, and monitoring standards and guide adoption across organizations.
- Lead incident management processes and on-call rotations across multiple organizations.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with Engineering, Product, Legal, Compliance, and executive leadership.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience in security engineering and/or software engineering.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- Expert ability to lead security projects from inception through global productionization, including threat modeling and requirements gathering.
- Experience defining organization-wide security and privacy standards and leading adoption of frameworks.
- Ability to anticipate architectural risks and make complex security-versus-velocity and buy-versus-build tradeoffs.
- Experience with technical writing, code reviews, design reviews, post-mortems, and large-scale incident management.
- Expert-level proficiency in Golang, Python, or Java.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and application security threats, including vulnerability chaining and mitigation design.
- Experience partnering on headcount planning, recruiting, and technical evaluation of engineering talent.
- Ability to build strategic relationships across Engineering, Legal, and Finance.
