Responsibilities
- Prepare technical design specifications and written knowledge-transfer materials.
- Review functional requirements, analysis, and design documents and provide feedback.
- Implement, test, maintain, and support software based on technical specifications.
- Lead architecture, design, and implementation of robust, highly scalable web services.
- Improve system quality by identifying issues and patterns and developing standard operating procedures.
- Maintain existing codebases, review code changes, and participate in architecture and code reviews.
- Investigate and apply relevant new technologies.
- Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional teams to implement technical designs.
- Assist customer support with technical problems and questions.
- Mentor less experienced developers and lead project work when needed.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Java full-stack development experience.
- At least 2.5 years of experience developing systems or software for large business environments.
- At least 2.5 years of Java Enterprise Edition experience.
- Strong object-oriented design and service-oriented architecture principles, preferably implemented in Java.
- Experience leading the architecture, design, and implementation of robust, scalable web services.
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure SaaS infrastructure, DevOps technologies, debugging, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of unit, test-driven, functional, and performance testing.
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database systems and data architecture.
- Experience with cloud-based big data systems and solutions; Pulsar and Snowflake experience is a plus.
- Experience with React, software security tools and practices, shell scripting, machine learning, LLMs, automation, and AI modernization initiatives is preferred or beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; a master’s degree is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, organizational, interpersonal, independent decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
