Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end incident triage, troubleshooting, resolution, and on-call response for AWS platform incidents.
- Design and implement reliability improvements through automation, monitoring, observability, and architectural optimization.
- Build Python and PowerShell automation to eliminate manual work and enable self-healing workflows.
- Troubleshoot, scale, and optimize ECS container workloads, including networking and performance tuning.
- Manage AWS Systems Manager fleet operations, patching, remote execution, and automation.
- Govern S3 storage through lifecycle policies, encryption, access controls, and data protection standards.
- Design and operationalize AWS Bedrock GenAI use cases with prompt workflows, guardrails, secure access, and monitoring.
- Enforce IAM least-privilege practices, credential hygiene, access reviews, and broader AWS security controls.
- Improve logs, metrics, traces, alerts, and operational dashboards.
- Lead change management, release governance, post-incident reviews, documentation, and continuous platform improvement.
- Collaborate with US-based and distributed global stakeholders during overlapping business hours.
- Mentor junior engineers, review solutions, and promote platform engineering best practices.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering with strong AWS exposure.
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with EC2, S3, SSM, IAM, ECS, Lambda, Step Functions, SCPs, SSO, VPC, RDS, and AWS AI Services.
- Mandatory experience implementing, operating, or integrating AWS Bedrock and GenAI use cases.
- Strong automation experience with Python and Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Understanding of IAM, security best practices, and cloud governance.
- Experience with CloudWatch or equivalent logging and monitoring platforms.
- Strong collaboration skills for working with distributed and global teams.
