Responsibilities
- Work with designers and architects to understand functional IP blocks and their use cases.
- Implement BSP software and perform software bring-up on pre- and post-silicon platforms.
- Develop Linux device drivers and user-space tests for exercising and validating subsystems in complex SoCs.
- Debug and determine the root causes of hardware and software issues.
- Validate GPUs and systems using graphics, compute, stress, and conformance workloads when applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with embedded Linux kernel development.
- Experience programming in C.
- Preferred experience with ARM architecture and the Linux graphics stack, including Mesa, Vulkan, OpenGL, or GPU compute.
- Preferred experience validating GPUs with graphics and compute workloads, stress tests, or conformance suites such as Vulkan CTS and igt-gpu-tools.
- Knowledge of Linux kernel internals, including scheduling, memory management, concurrency, synchronization, memory allocation, and file systems.
- Knowledge of networking or storage subsystem architecture and experience developing or supporting drivers for areas such as USB, networking, graphics, video, storage, or power management.
- Kernel-space debugging experience and experience validating systems from user space.
- Experience porting or maintaining a Linux distribution for a platform.
