Base Salary
$168k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Integrate and maintain the compute layer for data processing and model inference workflows.
- Ensure reliable and performant execution of workloads through monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Operate and extend workflow orchestration systems like Prefect or Coiled.
- Support deployment and execution of ML model outputs in production environments.
- Enable scientific workflows by integrating external data sources.
- Collaborate with ML engineers to translate model capabilities into production-ready systems.
- Integrate new compute capabilities into the platform for scalability.
- Establish best practices for reliability and operational support.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 8 years with a Master's degree.
- Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python.
- Experience with distributed or cloud-based systems in production.
- Familiarity with workflow orchestration frameworks like Prefect or Airflow.
- Experience with data processing or compute-intensive workloads.
- Familiarity with containerization and deployment patterns like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
- Ability to collaborate with ML engineers on operationalizing model outputs.
- Experience with data-intensive or scientific workflows is a plus.
- Demonstrates strong engineering rigor including testing and code quality.
