Base Salary
$200k - $320k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and operate large-scale cybersecurity platforms delivering detection, prevention, and response capabilities across cloud and hybrid environments.
- Build Python-based, API-first security services and integrations across SIEM, CSPM, CNAPP, IAM, network security, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Develop GenAI-powered workflows and autonomous agents for cloud misconfiguration analysis, policy validation, threat triage, alert summarization, root-cause analysis, and remediation.
- Engineer cloud security controls across Azure or AWS using Terraform, policy-as-code, guardrails, GitOps-based promotion pipelines, drift detection, and secure state management.
- Design and operate cloud security posture management capabilities using platforms such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.
- Lead architecture discussions, proofs of concept, production adoption, project planning, cost estimation, risk assessment, and technical mentoring.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree, 8 years with an advanced degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
- Expert-level knowledge of at least one major cloud platform, with Azure preferred, plus experience implementing cloud-native security controls at scale.
- Hands-on experience migrating applications to the cloud and designing security controls based on risk assessments, gaps, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Go and experience building production-grade services.
- Demonstrated experience building GenAI solutions and autonomous agents for cloud security engineering or security operations.
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code, automation, GitOps workflows, policy-as-code, enterprise guardrails, secure state management, and drift detection.
- Experience independently driving proofs of concept, owning implementations end-to-end, and transitioning solutions into production.
- Strong understanding of threat management, vulnerability management, cloud security posture management, and technical leadership across teams.
