Responsibilities
- Triage and analyze MDR alerts and follow up with affected users through resolution.
- Serve as the initial responder for cybersecurity incidents and produce detailed incident reports.
- Track and follow up on action items from cybersecurity and operational security incidents.
- Conduct cybersecurity awareness sessions for employees.
- Perform application security audits and implement necessary controls.
- Develop scripts across major operating systems to automate CVE patching without disrupting users.
- Collaborate with internal teams to update cybersecurity policies and establish new policies.
- Create and validate disaster recovery procedures through tabletop and DR exercises.
- Research and evaluate applications and solutions to improve the company’s cybersecurity posture.
Requirements
- BSc in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT role.
- Experience drafting policies relevant to cybersecurity frameworks.
- Hands-on scripting experience with Linux or Python.
- Experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
- A security mindset, attention to detail, and ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and frequent context-switching.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience in security operations, incident response, vulnerability assessments, and network architecture design.
- Preferred: basic knowledge of Windows PowerShell.
- Preferred: startup experience and understanding of the need to wear multiple hats.
- Preferred: experience creating CI/CD pipelines for automation.
